Toronto is the capital of Ontario located in the "Golden Horseshoe" in Southern Ontario. The global megacity is a hub for business and finance and one of the world's most cosmopolitan cities. It is often referred to as the New York City of Canada due to its multicultural vibe and its size. It is said to be the most multiculturally diverse city worldwide. Toronto also has three beach sections along Lake Ontario and is considered to be one of the major food cities of North America, particularly due to its cultural diversity. The city has multiple hip bars and a high number of craft and microbreweries. On top of that, Toronto is excellent for shopping, particularly in the Yorkville neighbourhood, the Entertainment District and the Harbourfront. Moreover, Toronto is represented in six league sports including hockey, baseball, basketball, Canadian football and soccer.
