Spend five hours at Loughcrew Adventure Centre with plenty of room for exciting team-building activities. If you love spending time outdoors and are up for an adventure, this activity is for you! Communication is key for all of our activities at the adventure centre. This experience runs in every weather - we just adapt to the situation and promise to make it an unforgettable day either way!
Participate in up to six of the following activities on the day:
Rock climbing: Go up our climbing wall. Reach your limits and look forward to an adrenaline rush. There are several routes available, all with different levels of difficulty. This activity is perfect for team-building as it is crucial to help each other out. Upon arrival at the top, abseil back to the bottom!
Witches ropes: Cross one of the most difficult low ropes courses in the whole country at about 1 metre off the ground. Work as a team to get yourselves to the finish line, across seven different challenges. Your task is to get the “witches potion” to the other side without spilling anything - good luck!
Archery: Take a shot at bow and arrow - an old tradition of Loughcrew. Get a feel of what it’s like to be Robin Hood and compete against your friends to hit the targets.
Forest crystal maze: This activity is perfect for team building. There are physical and mental tasks involved to get through the maze such as brain teasers, stepping stones and a spider’s web. Coordination, time management and team work are essential to succeed in reaching the end of the maze.
Crannóg Challenge: The challenge of this activity is to get to the island in the centre of the pond. There are several ways to get there - cross the burnt bridge, zip your way across, use the stepping stones, build a raft or use ropes and barrels. We will warn you though - there is a high chance of more than one person landing in the pond below.
Nightline: This activity will scare you to bits. Equipped with nothing but a rope you will be led to safety through the darkness of the forest. Hold on at all times to not get lost! Walk and crawl through mud and water - the quicker you make it through the forest the better!
Assault course: If you are up for a true challenge, make your way through the assault course here. Start with the forest assault before climbing down into the trench for a trench tyre challenge. Get through as fast as possible so you will not get stuck in the mud, until you end up at the second set of tyres. Get to the top of it and then crawl under the bridge - the finish lien is near now! This assault course requires a higher level of fitness, energy and commitment, but you will be proud once you made it through!
