Today you’ll travel north where you will take in the spectacular scenery of the Moray and Cromarty Firth, before hopping aboard a ferry to the magical and mysterious Orkney. Upon arrival you will witness the stunning scenery, before visiting the Italian Chapel and the famous Churchill Barriers. Resting for the night in Kirkwall.
Spend the full day taking in the historic, cultural and scenic sites the Orkney Isles are teeming with! Many of the sites here are historically ancient, with the Neolithic Skara Brae, the prehistoric Maeshowe Chambered Cairn and the brooding Stone Circles of Stenness. Rounding the day off with a visit to the beautiful St Magnus Cathedral.
Begin the final day of this packed tour, with an early ferry back to the mainland. Travelling south you will have the chance to take in the sites of the capital of the highlands, Inverness. On the homeward journey you will have the chance to visit the battlefield of Culloden and pass through the striking Cairngorm mountain range, before stopping off to explore the pretty village of Pitlochry.
