Passing through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park arriving in Kilmartin Glen, where you can walk in the footsteps of the first Scots at the Dunadd Hill Fort and the Temple Wood Stone Circle.
Today you will travel through the haunting Glencoe where the massacre of the MacDonald Clan took place, and drive past the base of the highest peak in the UK, Ben Nevis. Stopping in Fort William and jump aboard the Jacobite Steam Train and travel over the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Traveling on to the charming Isle of Skye, where you will spend the night.
Enjoy a full day exploring the Isle of Skye’s stunning scenery and hidden gems. There will be an array of photo opportunities throughout this day from the Cuillin Mountains to the astonishing Trotternish Peninsula.
Leaving the Isle of Skye you’ll visit the picturesque Eilean Donan Castle and drive through the Torridon Mountains. Arriving at Drumnadrochit, on the shores of Loch Ness, where you’ll spend your forth night.
Today you’ll travel to the capital of the highlands - Inverness - before arriving at the port of Ullapool. Here you’ll catch a ferry over to the Isle of Lewis and Harris. Take part in a woodland walk to Rogie Falls, and visit Corrieshalloch Gorge.
Today you’ll explore Stornoway, the largest settlement in the Western Isles, visiting the windiest place in the UK, the ‘Butt of Lewis Lighthouse’. Then onto the Callanish Standing Stones and Caloway Broch, with a chance to stroll along some of the most stunning beaches in the UK. You will also learn about Harris Tweed cloth, with a visit to a traditional weaver.
Explore the southern part of the Isle Harris, with a visit to Tarbert, the main port. You’ll stroll along arguably the most stunning beach in Harris, Lusekentyre. After a fantastic day exploring Harris,you’ll catch a ferry back to the mainland and spend the night in Inverness.
Today, you will travel south, with a visit to the battlefield of Culloden. Passing through the Cairngorm National Park, you will have the chance to explore the picturesque village of Pitlochry, before arriving back in Edinburgh.
