The City of Bridges
Da Nang is the third largest city of Vietnam with more than one million inhabitants, right after Ho Chi Minh City and the capital Hanoi. As it is located right on the coast, it is a major port city and the biggest city in Central Vietnam.Da Nang is an extremely dynamic city - no other city is going through such fast changes. New modern hotels, apartments and restaurants are constantly popping up at the Han riverfront while the Danang beach promenades are plastered with hotels and resorts.
Its location in Central Vietnam is excellent: Da Nang is right near the beach, a mere 40 minute drive from scenic Hoi An and 2 hours from the historic city of Hue. This makes it a great starting point for a multitude of tours. With its tropical monsoon climate, the dry season between April and August is the best time to visit.
Discover attractions such as My Son Sanctuary or the Marble Mountains from Da Nang. You can also head to Cham Island or one of the various temples from here. One of its most well known sights is the Dragon Bridge - a bridge with a giant dragon that spits fire and water every Saturday and Sunday night!
